Beneficial Refresh is not just a cold-pressed juice company. We are a community-led health intervention.
In Cleveland and across our surrounding neighborhoods, we face a critical health equity gap. While sugary drinks and processed foods are readily available, nutrient-dense options often remain out of reach. This "nutrition poverty" fuels a cycle of chronic illness, including hypertension and diabetes, that disproportionately impacts minority and underserved communities.
Beneficial Refresh exists to bridge this gap, ensuring our neighbors have the tools and knowledge needed to reclaim their health and break the cycle of sugary-drink culture.
Meet The Founder
THE START
Alexis Prewitt, founder of Beneficial Refresh, understands this journey firsthand. Born and raised in Cleveland, her own childhood was filled with the processed foods and sugary snacks that contribute to our community's health crisis.
After reclaiming her vitality through a personal health journey focused on portion control and functional nutrition, she saw her own friends and family struggling with the same habits.
As a Black woman-owned business, Alexis bridges the trust gap in the wellness industry, leading with empathy and shared lived experience to prove that a healthy lifestyle is not a luxury. It is a community birthright.
THE WHY
Alexis created Beneficial Refresh to provide a physical "reset" through 100% cold-pressed juices that deliver raw, bioavailable nutrients directly to the body. We serve as an educational vehicle, teaching our community the "why" behind every ingredient, from kale to ginger, to empower long-term dietary change. We meet our customers where they are to remove geographic barriers to fresh produce.
Our ultimate goal is to revive the bodies of our neighbors and provide Access to Life one juice at a time, making wellness a community standard for all.
